Security officials have arrested three people who planned to train at an Al Qaeda camp abroad in order to carry out attacks in Morocco, the Interior Ministry said Friday. The suspects “planned to assassinate members of the security services in order to seize their weapons and use them in planned sabotage acts,” the state news agency MAP reported, citing a statement from the Interior Ministry. The ministry said the cell was led by a jihadist blogger who had forged ties with terrorist organizations “in Yemen, Afghanistan, Somalia, Libya, Iraq and elsewhere.”
